Assembly Instruction Photos
October 2002Hi John,
Attached is photo of the UPS delivery of my 16' Koenders windmill that arrived in 6 cartons as advertised. This package puts a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Some Assembly Required"!
Thanks/Cheers,

Organize all your nuts | bolts | washers in small containers.
Start at the top of the tower and work your way down.
-- Do not fully tighten nuts and bolts until the whole tower or blade is assembled.
-- Keep the nuts that you screw onto the bolts somewhat loose
so that you can attach the next piece to the bolt. There are often several layers.
-- Then, go back around and fully tighten all the nuts and bolts.![]()
TO START:
Top Tower Legs are attached to the Blue Plastic Tower Top
-- 5/16 Self Tapping Screws | 1/2 inch head | 4 screws on each leg
-- Top Tower Leg: 48 inches long![]()

Note: The Dome goes on the INSIDE of the three rings.
-- This photo above has the DOME on the OUTSIDE of the three rings.
Note: Make Sure All Bolts go from inside out -- with the THREADS pointing out.
That way you can attach the blades easily to the bolts.![]()

Don Brown recommends using LOCK WASHERS with the nuts and bolts, especially for the attachment of the blade assembly to the air compressor shaft. Koenders sends flat washers with their windmill package, but lock washers are an improvement.![]()
