Email: thebeavers@ncws.com |Hello John:
I have spoke to you before regarding a pond that 7 to 8' deep.
I believe that 2 aeration stones would be efficient for this size pond
-- pond size approx. 1/4 acre
-- electric is about 250' away from the ponds edge, it is 110.Is there a way that I can see a diagram of how this unit should be set up?
Not using a windmill as discussed (not much wind).
You mentioned using pvc.
-- I'm the one that suggested using rock's inside the pvc for the weight. You also mentioned that I should use 1 inch pvc.
I just don't understand where the pvc goes.
What I am visualizing is the aeration box
setting away from the pond (covered)
with tubing (or pvc) running into the pond with the air stone attached. Is this correct?
The pvc threw me.
Basically, does this work like an aquarium air pump? This I am use to!
Again this pond is about 350' long and about 70' wide,
depth between 7-8'.Where would I place the air stones?
If I put the aerator in the barn,
for electric, does it matter how far away the air stones are? Will I loose air pressure the farther away the stones are?
This means I will be setting the stones approx. 500' from the air source.
Will this be a problem?
To run 2 air stones in this pond
what would be the total cost to purchase your unit?Thank You for being patient this is the first earth bottom pond I will work on
and I would not want to look like a dummy!!!!Thank You,
Very Koi

The air line looses 2 psi for every 500 ft.
So, the distance is okay. The aerator puts out 25 psi
