A customer wrote to us about his pond:My pond will be a wildlife pond with undulating bottom. Depths from 1-3 feet. 50 yards by 80 yards. Would your smallest Windmill be too much for such a small pond?
ANSWER:Your pond is 4000 Sq. Yards = .82 acres
At 3 ft. deep, your pond is pretty shallow.WINDMILLS
Our windmills have a tower that is 12 ft. tall.
We offer 4 ft. leg extensions. So, we offer windmill towers of
12 ft. | 16 ft. | and 20 ft. tall.We offer ONE type of Windmill air compressor.
It fits on top of our 12 ft. | 16 ft. | and 20 ft. towers.
The Windmill air compressor puts out 1.5 CFM
CFM = cubic feet per minute of air.WIND
If you have good wind at your pond, the windmill
could help aerate your pond.

improves water quality.
See: http://MalibuWater.com/Aeration.html |Deep Ponds:
If a pond is 12 ft. deep or more, and up to 1.5 acres,
we recommend putting ONE air diffuser in the deepest spot
in the pond. The air bubbles rise up from the bottom of the pond,
and bring a column of water of 12 ft. up to the surface.
Thus, thousands of gallons of water are circulated each day
throughout the entire pond.Shallow Ponds
If an air diffuser is placed in 3 ft. of water, then it moves
a column of water 3 feet tall to the surface. Thus, not
as much water is circulated by the bubbles from an air diffuser
in a shallow pond, as in a deeper pond.Air Diffusers
So, in a shallow pond more than one air diffuser is needed
to spread the air bubbles around and circulate more water.A Challenge
It is a challenge to properly aerate a shallow pond. Our windmill is NOT too much for a small pond.
