Hi John,
Our pond is rectangle.
There is an open field west of the pond
that is approx. 5 acres that is completely open.
There is always a breeze in this area,
even when the temp. is 90 and humid.
We have a flag pole in this area and the flag is never still.

One Windmill puts out 1.5 CFM - Cubic Feet per Minute of air.
That's enough for a pond that is 1.5 acres.
So, for your 2 acre pond it may be pushing the limits.

It's best if your pond depth was 12 or 15 ft. or more.
That way the air diffuser will be circulating a lot of water.
-- So, your pond depth will work fine.

That's enough air for a pond up to 1.5 acres.
So, a two acre pond is pushing the limits of the windmill.
A 2 acre pond needs more than 1.5 CFM - Cubic Feet Per Minute of air.
So, for a pond that is 2 to 3 acres we recommend 2 Windmills: 3.0 CFM.
