Well water flows into the pond, and there has been some Hydrogen Sulfide concerns that we can eliminate with proper aeration. We'll get the Koenders Pond Aeration Windmill System up and running over the Winter 2000, and see how the water quality improves by Spring 2001. The Pond is about seven (7) years old and the muck on the bottom has that typical sulfur odor caused by anaerobic bacteria. So, we advise that our Malibu Water Resources recommendations for aeration of an older pond be followed. In the distance we can see another pond. In fact, the two ponds are connected, so we may set up another Koenders Windmill System for that distant pond.
The Aeration Stone set-up below was purchased for use at the golf course pond and is much different than the Koenders Aeration Stone. We'll send along the standard Koenders Aeration Stone for use at the site.
