Mix this 2 ounces in an average radiator of 5 gallons.
WITH ANTI-FREEZE : You can continue to use antifreeze. If your radiator is full, drain off a quart of water into a bucket, add the graphite to the quart, mix and re-pour back into the radiator….using a funnel. Use only the recommended 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water. More than this amount of antifreeze will make the engine run hotter.
RUST – Rust buildup (oxidation) prevents cooling. If there is rust in the radiator water, flush out the system…then add the 50% anti-freeze…then the graphite.
IF YOU DO NOT GO WHERE WATER FREEZES, DO NOT USE ANTI-FREEZE.
Water dissipates or transfers heat from metal faster than anything….much faster than anti freeze. The engine will run cooler if you use water alone. Antifreeze does not transfer heat at all…it merely prevents the water from freezing.
I don’t use any anti freeze here in So. Cal….unless we go to the snow. If you go to the cold areas…use the recommended 50-50 water, antifreeze mix as the graphite will freeze along with the water if it gets cold enough.
Graphite coating will STOP corrosion of ANY metal (iron, steel, aluminum, brass, copper, etc.) instantly. It does this by coating the metal’s surface with a thin graphite material that bonds with the metal and provides a barrier to the corrosive effects of water.
It is the O (oxygen) of the H2O that causes all the trouble. Oxygen oxidizes metals such as iron (iron oxide – rust), Aluminum (aluminum oxide), copper, etc. Metals (except gold and platinum) oxidize…that is their nature.
Running straight water will cool your engine faster but the oxygen causes corrosion. The graphite acts as a barrier to this oxygen…hence no corrosion.
Graphite will turn the water jet back and will remain black for some time…months. It does this while it is coating all metal surfaces in the engine’s system. After this time, the water will turn clear. If you ever see any rust discoloration (the beginning of corrosion)…put in more of the graphite… as there was some bit of metal that was not coated.
If you put your finger in the water, it will come out black. Use finger nail polish remover to get the black color off. Use dry cleaning to get the graphite off of clothes.
I have used this in all my cars for 4 years. (’99 Yukon, ’95 and ’96 Montero, ’66 230SL, ’36 Terraplane, ’59 Chevy P/U, ’40 Buick). I heard about this Graphite at an Australian Copper mine who used it in their D-9 Caterpillar tractors….and the owner’s 1922 Vauxhall tourer. I‘ve heard from people in Australia who have been using graphite in their antique cars for over 10 years! They love it …and so do I.
MWR will retail this graphite in 2 1/2 Oz containers for $20. To order call or Fax the phone #s above.
